Refurbished C16th chateau to original splendour in now available for B&B / exclusive hire or for an all-inclusive holiday tour package. The property has 40 acres, you can explore it's gardens, forest or the lovely surrounding villages. There are regular flights from Southampton & Stansted to Bergerac which is a 40 minute drive to the Chateau, or you can fly into Bordeaux which is about an 1 hour drive.

The magnificent Château de Siorac, sited in a dominant position in the Dordogne contemplating the valley of the river Isle, dates back to 1550.

Today, after a conscientious modernization and restoration, the french Château de Siorac opens its doors as a luxurious bed and breakfast and exclusive rental accommodation.

We are located at only 10km from Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne, which constitutes an ideal starting point for the discovery of countless beautiful towns and villages. The airport of Bergerac, with daily flights to London, is 45km away, and Bordeaux  is just a 50 min drive.

The rooms in our French Château are luxuriously decorated with noble materials, antiques and tapestries to provide the visitor with a unique experience of times long passed by. All bedrooms are double rooms, have their own private bathrooms, three of them with Jacuzzi bathtubs and one with shower hydro massage.

The Oriental Suite occupies almost half of the second floor and consists of the bedroom with stone fireplace, a reading room depicting pictures from the 18th century, and a beautiful bathroom in stone, marble and mosaic located in the 16th century west tower. The walls are covered with tapestry and the room is furnished with antique furniture.

The Comtesse bedroom has a more ancient flair with its exposed stone and old plaster work. The style of the bathroom allows you to appreciate the massiveness of the stone walls of the 16th century east tower.

The Camille bedroom has the walls covered with tapestry, original wood paneling and plaster moldings, and a stone fireplace. The bathroom is covered with stone from Sarlat.

The Baronne bedroom, with its stylish wallpaper and old wood planks, has an 19th century feeling. From its windows you have an unobstructed view of the two towers.

The Maleville bedroom walls are covered with tapestry, has a full size bed and bathroom with shower hydro-massage.

Wining and Dining

A traditional French breakfast is served in the elegant dining room with its Renaissance monumental fireplace dominating the room. The elaborate surroundings of the ancient wood paneling and original oak flooring make a perfect setting for enjoying a sumptuous meal.

Relaxing

The living room in this French Château is steeped with history. The wallpaper, dating back to 1842, carries the initials of Joseph Louis Camille de Beaupoil "Marquis de Saint-Aulaire". With the craftsmanship of the furniture that has ornate carvings of the family crest and the wooden beams and ceiling in their unusual French style this room is a place to savour and relax in.

The Chateau offers the following accommodation:

6 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms spaciously distributed throughout 3 floors covering an area of over 1000sq m.

- Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, large double-door refrigerator, microwave oven, induction cook top, electric oven, toaster, electric coffee maker). Large Kitchen table. Pots, pans, dishware, glasses & cutlery are provided. Laundry room fitted with washer & dryer. - Half bathroom. - Large formal dinning room with Renaissance fireplace. - Main living room has TV, CD/DVD and plenty of seating. - Bedroom 1: 30sq m, en suite bathroom.
