Villa Vallet, an Epi-centre located, 1000 sq.
ft., privately owned, ground floor Luxury home
in MGM's latest 19th Century style development
in Chamonix - completed in November 2004. It has
its own private 550 sq. ft. terrace with
stunning open views towards Chaine du Mont
Blanc, Aiguille du Midi and the Le Brevent ski
area.
Villa Vallet is situated next door to Ecole du
Ski and a short 2 minute walk to the Brevent ski
lift system, giving access to one of the largest
ski areas in the valley. Chamonix’s finest
restaurants, bars and shops are even closer
whilst the rest of the valley's ski area is
easily accessible by the in-resort Ski-Bus which
runs past the development.
The owners have created a living area to
incorporate tasteful contemporary designer
fittings (including some of their own private
art collection). The open plan spacious modern
living area was designed to accommodate large
groups comfortably. The area has a sumptuous
L-shaped sofa strewn with cosy cushions. There
are a further 2 leather armchairs around a
rustic coffee table, set by a warm wolf-skin rug
on grey slate-tiled flooring.
Incorporated into the lounge area is a custom
designed oak-built breakfast and drinks bar
adding further seating and a place to hang out.
Looking towards the kitchen, it ensures the
designated washer-uppers or chefs don't get left
out during mulled wine drinking chill-out times.
For the chefs amongst you, the granite work-top
and modern steel appliances will give you the
luxury you require in the truly authentic yet
modern U-shaped kitchen. The living room is also
equipped with a 22" flat-screen LCD TV,
all-region DVD player (including a choice of
over 100 of the owners DVDs), state-of-the-art
hi-fi system that plays MP3s pre-burned onto a
CD. Guests will also have use of the owners XBox
or PS2 (including many games), board games and
puzzles such as Risk, Pictionary, Scrabble and
Chess.
The dining area has a light and airy feel
seating 8 comfortably around a custom-made
Scandinavian dining table crafted from wood and
glass. This area opens out through large patio
doors onto the private terrace offering a
spectacular vista of the surrounding valley.
The apartment's 3 bedrooms have been designed
for maximum comfort whilst having flexible
enough layouts to accommodate 6-10 guests
(including sofa-bed). All three bedrooms have
natural wood flooring, built-in storage space
and have been tastefully furnished with
high-quality Alpine furniture and more than
enough wooden hangers! 6 single beds, 1 double
sofa-bed and 2 further pull-out beds are
provided for your stay, providing the best
possible combinations of sleeping arrangements.
There are 2 luxury bathrooms fitted with granite
tops, oak units and halogen lighting, adding to
the bright warm feel of the apartment. One of
these bathrooms is en suite with a shower and
WC. The other offers a full-size bath tub. There
is an additional separate WC.
The apartment has 2 private underground car
parking spaces in the basement of the building
and its own ski locker.
